Mount Maunganui College has a number of expectations of its students aimed at ensuring that the school maintains a positive climate. Classroom learning opportunities are our priority.
Student development and social interaction need to be such that everyone can find success while at school and be well prepared for life when they leave.
Our expectations are that students:
• attend school regularly
• be prepared for work
• allow others to learn
• use no offensive language or behaviour
• wear the correct uniform
• care for the school environment and property
• complete homework as set
• follow instructions – obey rules
• strive to do better
• show respect for others
• be punctual
• keep away from out-of-bound areas
• do not smoke, drink alcohol or take drugs
• maintain a communication link between school and home.
These expectations underpin our specific school rules. The rules regard attendance, behaviour, classroom environment, health and safety, uniform, care of property and out-of-bounds areas.
