Brendon-Ray Horlock - Kaitiaki / Deputy Principal

The Kaitiaki facilitates and supports programmes that involve the achievement and well-being of M?ori students.  He also focuses on learning and support for all students and staff in a M?ori context.  This includes use of te reo me ona tikanga (M?ori language and customs).  The Kaitiaki is a liaison with wh?nau, hapu and iwi of the community.

 

Brendon-Ray's role focuses on the development and implementation of the M?ori Strategic Plan, lead by the strategic team He Waka Eke Noa.

 

He Waka Eke Noa implement strategies in three key areas; academic achievement, culturally responsive and relational pedagogy, and place and community.

 

As a Senior Leader, Brendon-Ray has leadership over the learning and pastoral care for all students in Year 12.
