Waikato Bay of Plenty Secondary School Mountain Biking Championships

Three Mount Maunganui College students competed in the Waikato BOP Seconday School Mountain Biking Champs in Temiro. Samuel Lord won the under 17 boys division with a tight finish with his close rival Connor Johnston from Western Heights High School and Kai Chalmers from Tauranga Boys College coming in third. Ashleigh Keach competed in the under 15 girls division. Ashleigh had a bit of a slow start and struggled with the excessive mud but picked up the pace and felt confident in the third lap but unfortunately did not place. Kaia Dorr also did well but was not able to place.
