Welcome to Hockey at Mount Maunganui College.

Our hockey season is held during Term 2 and Term 3.  Trials are held towards the end of Term 1 for both boys and girls.

If you are interested in coaching or managing one of our school teams please either contact the Person In Charge of Hockey or register your interest on your child's registration.

Estimated Cost Per Season Per Player:

Fees for ther 2026 season have not been finalised. There are still a few final details to iron out once training times, overall team numbers and training venues are confirmed. These may or may not affect an individual team's fees, we will notify everyone if that is the case.

Fees cover the following;

• Entry and turf fees for all games.
• Trials and regular trainings at THA for 11 aside teams
• Uniform and gear levy to replace/ repair
• Coaching levy to pay for coaching equipment, coaches clothing, police vetting and make a small Koha to coaches.

11 aside premier grade/ 1st XI $375 (2025 season)

All other 11 aside teams $345 (2025 season)

All 6 aside $170 (2025 (season)

There is an expectation that school uniform jackets, sweaters or official sports hoodies are worn at games, so if your child needs to purchase one of these please budget this into your plan. 

The majority of games are played at Tauranga Hockey Centre (Blake Park) with some fixtures at Tauranga Boys or Bethlehem College.

In Winter Tournament Week, our Premier Hockey teams compete at satellite tournaments throughout New Zealand.
